This week, our Human Right to Housing team was in New Orleans to participate in an Advisory Group on Forced Evictions (AGFE) Fact-Finding Mission. The goal of the mission was to investigate housing rights violations in the city, both pre- and post-Katrina.  Tiffany Gardner, our Human Right to Housing Director, and Sam Jackson, founder of NESRI partner Mayday New Orleans, together with other local experts, were assisiting the Advisory Group with their investigation. Today the Advisory Group on Forced Eviction winds down its Fact Finding Mission on the forced eviction situation in New Orleans with final visits with federal officials in Washington DC.
