Thursday, August 27:  In this Mayday New Orleans filmed and produced video, New Orleanians say that HUD is still failing their city, even under the new administration. Jobs rebuilding public housing sites are going to out of town workers and are controlled by Texas based contractors. The numbers of units being built on the sites of demolished public housing developments are far fewer than pre-Katrina numbers. Redevelopment will not ensure the human right to housing for the city’s working class residents.
