The Healthcare is a Human Right campaign in Vermont, led by NESRI partner the Vermont Workers’ Center, has prompted the Vermont legislature to conduct a series of hearings on rights-based health care reform. After submitting thousands of petitions and bringing hundreds of Vermonters to a public health care forum at the statehouse, the Workers’ Center has now presented its own legislative proposal to a joint session of the health committees.
