Earlier this month, NESRI partner the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) and their allies up and down the East Coast organized and took part in the "Do The Right Thing" East Coast Tour, February 27th – March 5th, which featured a large national action targeting Stop & Shop (owned by Dutch supermarket giant Ahold) in Boston — which was a huge success with over a thousand marchers trudging through the snowy city — and another against Publix in Tampa, Florida, which also turned out the crowds and featured street theatre involving huge, colorful puppets.  For photos and news coverage of these actions, and the tour stops in between, click here.
