Thousands Across the U.S. Join the March for Black Women
NESRI joined with Black Women’s Blueprint, DC Rape Crisis Center, and Marsha P. Johnson Center in sponsoring the March for Black Women in New York City, Washington, D.C., and several other cities. The marches called for a New Social Contract to address the multiple issues that disproportionately harm black women and girls’ lives, including sexual violence, policing, a broken immigration system and the epidemic of homicides against black transgender women.
