In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, 5,100 families were displaced from public housing. But the devastation did not stop there. The government has severely deregulated and disinvested in public housing for the past four decades, shattering families and communities. In 2010, the Obama Administration & Department of Housing and Urban Development introduced legislation that would turn public housing into a real estate commodity. Help us fight for public housing to ensure that housing becomes a human right for all.
