NESRI helped organize the Dignity in Schools Campaign-NY Teach-in as part of the DSC National Week of Action in October 2010.  On the opening panel youth from Desis Rising Up and Moving (DRUM) and Make the Road New York spoke about their experiences with pushout in New York City Schools, and a teacher from Teachers Unite spoke about how he uses restorative practices in his school.

The Dignity in Schools Campaign organized actions around the country during the week of October 11-17, 2010 to expose the pushout crisis in our nation’s schools and advocate for the human right of every student to a quality education and to be treated with dignity.
