NESRI board member, Carol Anderson, speaks about the history of the struggle for human rights in the United States at the Thurgood Marshall Center in Washington D.C., June 7, 2011.

Anderson discusses the need to change the U.S. political discourse which states that if one group it gets funding it must be at another’s expense but rather… “To begin to understand that when you have human rights, then we’re talking about, what do we as a human community need in order to thrive?  And that changes the discussion significantly.”
