The Dignity in Schools Campaign’s (DSC) Fourth Annual National Week of Action took place from September 28 to October 5, 2013. Over 60 organizations in 22 states joined the DSC to “Push Back Against School Pushout” in their largest Week of Action to date. The DSC organized students, parents, teachers and advocates in order to demand an end to school disciplinary policies that push students out of school and towards prison and low-wage jobs.
Each day during the Week of Action, DSC members and allies across the country held marches, rallies, teach-ins, community forums, and film screenings. Each day highlighted a different theme regarding school pushout, which the DSC spread through social media and videos.
You can watch each thematic video from the 2013 Week of Action below, and help spread the word to end school pushout.
