Leticia Peguero
Leticia Peguero is Senior Vice President of Firelight Media. She comes to Firelight with nearly two decades of experience working in and around social justice philanthropy. She has worked most recently as an executive coach and organizational consultant, and prior to that she served as Vice President of Programs at the Nathan Cummings Foundation, where she developed programmatic strategies that were responsive to the complex nature of social change. In that role, Leticia was a long-time supporter of Firelight’s Documentary Lab as well as a range of other arts and culture organizations and narrative change strategies.
Leticia’s resume also includes leadership positions at the Andrus Family Fund, where she collaborated with Firelight in building out our work in Impact and Engagement; the Posse Foundation; Planned Parenthood of New York City; and several other nonprofit organizations. She currently serves on the advisory council of Grantmakers for Girls of Color, is a trustee of Philanthropy New York, and is a trustee of the Center for Social Policy.
Leticia earned her Master’s degree in Public Administration at the Marxe School of Public Affairs at Baruch College, her undergraduate degree in sociology from Fordham University, and is a proud alumna of the National Urban Fellows program. Leticia is a certified professional coach and is a member of the International Coaching Federation. A lifelong New Yorker and a dancer, Leticia has spent much of her life working and dancing at the intersection of Afro-Caribbean forms and contemporary dance.
