Sharda Sekaran

Sharda has been an active human rights proponent since she was a high school student organizing opposition to budget cuts and inequity in the New York City public education system. Sharda co-founded Partners for Dignity & Rights (formerly NESRI), and served as Associate Director from 2004-2007. She is currently Head of Fundraising and Communications at Translators without Borders (TWB). In addition to her leading own consulting practice for a number of years, Sharda has led communications and narrative change at Drug Policy Alliance, GLAAD, and Citymeals-on-Wheels. Sharda holds an M.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with concentrations in strategy and marketing. She earned her undergraduate degree in international relations from Pomona College.
