On April 20, Families and Friends of Louisiana’s Incarcerated Children (FFLIC), NESRI and allies gathered at the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge to release our joint report, "Pushed Out: Harsh Discipline in Louisiana Schools Denies the Right to Education";  FFLIC and NESRI called on the Louisiana State Legislature to pass two bills aimed at reducing suspensions and expulsions and promoting positive behavior support approaches in Louisiana schools.  Read media coverage from The Times-Picayune and Louisiana Weekly.
