Partners for Dignity and Rights’ Program Director for health care and economic democracy Ben Palmquist participated in a webinar on healthcare disparities, and wrote an article on the subject, both for Nonprofit Quarterly.

The webinar was part of Nonprofit Quarterly’s Remaking the Economy series.

Ben was joined by Al Richmond and Yolandra Toya. Al Richmond is executive director of Community-Campus Partnerships for Health, a member-based nonprofit that promotes health equity and social justice through partnerships between communities and academic institutions.

Yolandra Toya, MD, is a physician and community pediatrician, and a member of the Jicarilla Apache nation. In her practice, Dr. Toya is currently providing medical care to residents of both Native and non-Native communities in New Mexico.
