June 5 Rally & March for Police-Free Schools

0

This Saturday, on the anniversary of the largest Police-Free Schools march in New York City history, join us to demand Police-Free Schools now.

We have the opportunity to make police-free schools a reality in NYC. The fate of school policing will be decided by lawmakers who are set to pass a budget by the end of June. The outcome of these political negotiations will determine whether NYC public schools double down on the longstanding violence of school policing, or instead fund the increased opportunities, supportive school staff, and resources that young people demand.

In order to win an end to school policing, we must turn out and turn it up together. Join students, teachers, and families on Saturday as we take to the streets to demand a budget that fully defunds school policing, and invests in care, healing, and real safety.

Young people will be up front leading chants and art actions along the way.

Meet at Washington Square Park at 11am on Saturday, June 5. Bring signs, bring friends. We will be marching.
