We are excited to welcome Jessica Chaves Tavares as National Field Organizer with the Dignity in Schools Campaign, which is anchored by Partners for Dignity & Rights.
A Boston native, Jessica started her organizing journey with the Massachusetts Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health (MassCOSH) as a peer leader her sophomore year of high school. Over the years Jessica worked her way up to be an adult staff member and a current board member at MassCOSH. With youth organizing as her passion, Jessica went on to earn a Bachelors of Science in Juvenile Justice & Youth Advocacy and a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science & Global Studies from Wheelock College. Afterwards she joined the Boston Student Advisory Council where she tirelessly worked for student rights within Boston Public Schools and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In her free time, Jessica enjoys bike riding, eating, and playing with her baby niece.
